The Service collects only the information below, and asks for nothing else.

The PIN is not stored as it is; it is converted into a form that cannot be restored (hashed) and kept that way. The operator therefore cannot know your PIN.
The Service collects service usage records in order to see which screens are used and how much. The items below are all that it collects.

To run recently produced results across the service screen, we store the values below each time an analysis finishes. These records are visible to anyone visiting the site.

We also use Google Analytics 4 to improve the service. Google Analytics collects visit information through cookies and the like, and the Service is configured to anonymize IP addresses. You can refuse this collection by installing the opt-out tool Google provides, or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Separately, in the course of website hosting, access logs (IP address, browser information, date and time of access) may be recorded automatically by the hosting provider; these are used only for operating and securing the service.
We also keep login information in your browser's storage so that you stay logged in. It is stored only on your own device, and you can delete it in your browser settings.
We do not use personal information for any purpose beyond those above, and if the purpose changes, we obtain consent in advance.

Once the retention period passes, or you ask for deletion, we destroy the data without delay. Where the law requires it to be kept, we store it separately for that period only.
The Service does not provide your personal information to third parties. The exception is a request made through lawful procedure under the law, for example by an investigative agency.
For stable operation, the Service outsources processing as set out below, and those companies' servers are located outside Korea.

You may refuse the transfer of your personal information overseas. The outsourcing above is essential to providing the service, however, so if you refuse, you can't use sign-up or the saving of analysis history. (Using the analysis without signing up is still possible.)
You may exercise the following rights at any time.

If you need to report or discuss an infringement of your personal information, you can contact the bodies below. They are separate from the Service, and you can turn to them if you aren't satisfied with our answer or you need more detailed help.
If anything in this policy is added, removed, or amended, we post the change on this page from 7 days before it takes effect. A change that materially affects your rights is posted 30 days in advance.
Effective date — this policy applies from September 22, 2026. Compared with the previous policy (effective September 21, 2026), the analysis result records (for the ‘recent checks’ display) item has been added.
OhMyShaft is a non-commercial reference service run by an individual. It has no partnership with, and takes no sponsorship from, any shaft manufacturer or brand.
